The National Trust  are looking for a group of young advisors to help  get more kids outdoors. The idea has come after two pieces of work from the charity, the 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ and the Natural Childhood Report.

The aim is to find ten children aged from 7 to 12 who will play a role in improving the National Trust sites for kids and having input into outdoor campaigns.

To kick of the search the Trust will open up its doors to children for free for the whole month of August. Over 200 places will be free of charge to children,** giving them the opportunity to explore National Trust places across the country.

The children picked for the role will be announced later this year and will win free access to National Trust places for their family and themselves.

Application will close on 7th September 2012. All you need to do is head over to http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/kidscouncil, download the form and send back.
