The Timberland Men’s Mountain Athletics All Mountain Low are high performance trainers built with the outdoor in mind. They’re not specifically built for on-trail or off-trail, but for both. So if you’re just going for a walk or fancy a run up a mountain, you’ll be fine.
We had the black and yellow trim version to review and the first thing you notice is the weight; they are really light considering the size of the sole. With trail running you want to be light on your feet, heavy trainers will slow you down. The sole is wide with plenty of grip which increases traction.
The top has several polyester air mesh panels which allow the heat and sweat out. Around the ankles there’s plenty of support and when the laces are tied it’s really a snug and secure fit. There’s plenty of bounce in the heal too which helps when running on harder surfaces.
The Men’s Mountain Athletics All Mountain Low trainers are also easy on the environment, the laces are made from recycled material and the sole is 42% recycled rubber. Priced at £80, sizes range from 6.5 to 12.5 and there is the option of dark silver and black rather than the yellow and black we had.
Overall a great trainer for running off and on trail. The ankle support is great but most importantly they are comfortable to wear and do provide a good grip.
