New Rules for Loch Lomond Camping

We’ve followed this story for a while now and it looks like the outcome will be a new set of rules for camping by  Loch Lomond in Scotland.

The new rules will ban camping along the eastern shore of the loch, the decision was made following a public enquiry which found 60 per cent response in were in favour of a restriction to pitching up between the villages of  Rowardennan and of Drymen to existing camp sites.

The enquiry came after numerous incidents of people setting up camp along the shore rather in campsites.
