Wow, what a Glastonbury it’s been, great bands, great company, great weather all contributing to a great 40 year celebration of the best festival in the world.
The weather predictions were spot on and there wasn’t a trace of rain from Wednesday till Monday as the punters exited the site. For some the heat was a little too much and with a few too many beers many suffered from sun stroke, but medicals teams were on hand to get everyone back on their feet.
Highlights from the weekend included Rolf Harris opening the Pyramid stage on the Friday, secret gigs from Radiohead and Biffy Clyro. Storming sets on the other stage from The Flaming Lips and Hot Chip. The festival ended on a Sunday night high with legendary singer Stevie Wonder singing Happy Birthday with event organiser Michael Eavis.
All going well the festival will return for year 41 with a planned break in 2012.
