Cairngorms to keep Scots Camping

The Cairngorms National Park Authority have decided that they won’t be banning camping in the wild.

Nearby the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park’s are looking to ban camping in the wild to reduce the problem of large groups.

Groups of around 90 have caused problems with late night drunken parties on the Loch’s banks.

The authorites have said they would work with the worst affected areas rather than a ban on camping.
However, park leaders in the Cairngorms, have said their main focus will be to reduce issues at the worst-affected sites in the Cairngorms rather than banning Scots from camping out.

Problems in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park include a fight between two groups in Sallochy Bay and a blazing barbecue thrown through the window of a car, causing the car to be set on fire.
